This painting started life with the small quartered and bordered square close to the centre of the picture and like life itself the images around it have evolved, growing and diversifying until they fill the picture space.  many of the plants, animals and abstract motifs can be found in other works.  The final image is characterised by contrasts of hue with a light tonal range and the painting composition is held together by the use of dynamic curves both abstract and part of the natural forms represented.
